Age Nowhere Strikes Again! 2021

“Take me home perfect stranger, take me home”

croons Paul Monnin as the chorus leads in on Age Nowhere’s first single from their forthcoming album and Magnaphone debut Age Nowhere Strikes Again! It’s the follow up to 2018’s Airport Sounds which captured the band’s first foray on their “Cosmic American Music” journey, blending hazy honky tonk with solid Midwestern rock and roll.

Age Nowhere Strikes Again! is the band’s progression toward a more solidly country outfit as singer-songwriter Paul Monnin and the Spaugy Twins - Dan and Matt - pull at their roots and embrace the natural twang of the winding roads just north of Dayton, OH where they grew up and later reunited to form the band. Spaugy’s B-Bender work alone is enough to take you there and with Monnin’s crafted delivery and (Matt) Spaugy’s mandolin chops, there is no doubt the fellas have spent some time in the field.

The trio is aided by a bevy of friends along the way, including the guidance and production of Patrick Himes at Reel Love Studio. The sound is at once familiar and unique, and as a listener you may find yourself forgetting that you’re listening to a band from the 21st century and not a unearthed gem from the heyday of Gram Parsons and Gene Clark. Yes, it’s that good!
