The sound is beautifully synthetic and angular, graced by the type infectious hook crafting Robbins is known for and the brilliant melodic and lyrical styling Peters and Dixon have used to fuel the Lioness song bank. It becomes quickly apparent that this something new though. Traces of vaporwave, early electronic art rock as well as a certain ‘purple’ Minneapolis based sound guide the sonic merriment steeped in the angst of a year defined by isolation and civil unrest.
